Tim Hose

UX / UI / Design Systems Lead Experience Designer · Verizon Focus: AI design tools Little Rock, AR · UTC−6

I design the systems behind the tools. Token architectures, component libraries, and lately, the interfaces where designers+AI work side by side.

Building and validating a native design system from zero

Our design system covered web, but native iOS and Android had nothing of their own. This push created and validated an entire native component library across both platforms, and I led the visual QA that held it to the bar.

It started as one person screenshotting every component state by hand. It became a tooled pipeline and a team, with automated screenshot intake, a feedback tool I designed and built with AI, a tracking model for coverage, and a full beta launch for both platforms.

Foundational design-system work: native shadow and type, a data-viz palette, and accessible interaction.

Redesigning a brewpub around its own menu

A Lowell, Arkansas brewpub's site had thrown away its best asset: its printed menu. This concept redesign puts that editorial design language back on the web, turns two flat menu images into real, searchable text, and rebuilds the whole thing as a static, accessible page.

A private family archive, designed and built with AI

I designed and directed the AI build of a private genealogy website for my family, nearly nine thousand people across two family lines. Every design and UX decision was mine, and I directed the full stack into being one prompt at a time, then found and fixed the gaps myself. It keeps more than records: biographies, photos, family recipes, and an interactive tree.

Tim Hose — Lead Experience Designer on Verizon's design systems. 20+ years from print and art direction to tokens, component libraries and AI design tools.

01

Design Systems

Token architecture, theming, governance, documentation. Systems that engineers actually adopt.

02

AI Design Tools

Interfaces for human and AI collaboration: prompt surfaces, review flows, trust and feedback loops.

03

Product UX / UI

From research to redlines. High-craft interface design with measurable outcomes.

04

Prototyping

From quick clickthroughs to high-fidelity interactive prototypes, testing ideas before they get expensive.

05

VQA & Spec Creation

Visual QA, redlines, annotations, acceptance criteria. Dev handoff that leaves nothing to guesswork. This file is the proof.

06

Print & Brand

A decade of print, brand and art direction: booklets, campaigns and product launches, before the pixels took over.

assets / toolkit

I started in Adobe CS, moved to Sketch, and now I live in Figma. The project trackers turn over even faster. Jira one place, Workfront the next, Asana after that. I go looking for the next tool before I need it, because what worked five years ago is already behind, and keeping up with them is the part I enjoy most.
